Have you thought of ways you could produce your own music album in order to bring your long awaited dream to fruition but could not figure out how to do that? If you answer yes to this question then read this tips and i believe you will learn a lot from this!

Africa and for that matter Ghana can boast of great musical talents but the most serious problem these talents face is their innability to successfully get a record lable to record them.There are several reasons to this and primarily these are the main cankers responbsible:

(1)LACK OF PROPERLY STRUCTURED MUSIC INDUSTRY:The advent of sophisticated gadgets like the computers,iphones,mp3 players and other song retrieving devices in our world today has made most music producers in the industry fear to produce especially new artists.Ghana like most African countries lack proper structures that could effectively tackle this problem which often results to piracy of intellectual properties.The bottom line is this,most producers now tend to produce artiste on their own merits thus they rather prefer to  record their wives and to some extent girl friends or close relatives who would not give them preasure should the project fail to realize it projected target.

So then here in Ghana you will easily find most husband turned producers/managers of  most especially gospel artiste.So your fruitless effort to come out with your own album is not surprising at all.Until you learn of this simple guide you could end up dying with your talent lying right beside you in your grave!

(2)POOR QUALITY OF SONGS ON THE PART OF MUSIC COMPOSERS OR SONG WRITERS.Most up and coming musicians are blinded with the thought of fame associated with coming out with their own album to the extend that most will wake up coined some sub-standard songs and quickly rush in looking for a record lable to record them.The bottom line is this no producer will record an album he or she knows is bound to fail and believe you me they are masters of their own games and so understand what it takes for an album to really make a hit.It is not surprising today to see an entire album with just one good track on it and honestly the rest are all fit for the refuse dump,yes they are nothing to write home about.I may sound offensive but that is the truth.For those of you who will still want to continue searching for a producer,I will advise you to take your time to write as many songs as possble at least give the producer lots of obtions to chose from.You should have about close to 30 songs in your song bank so that should the worse happen,the producer could still finnd more than one hit song from your list of songs.

HOW TO FIND A MUSIC PRODUCER!!

Well my aim is not to bore you nor discourage you in any way so let me put all technicalities aside and let me go straight to the point because you are here to learn how to find a producer so lets begin!

(1)DO NOT CALL A PRODUCER YOU DO NOT KNOW PERSONALLY!

Most musicians looking for producers are victims of this first rule.This is what they do:They quickly copy the phone numbers of producers they do not know and straight away call them with the usual cry:'please sir i am looking for a producer to produce my album for me and i have good songs and and and i backed so so and so artiste and and............blah blah blah! Now what was the reply the producer gave you? If he wants to be rude he will either cut the line or simply tell you'massa i'm not ready to produce a new artist' them blam!! he ends the call.The polite ones will go like this 'oh sorryyyyyy we are not producing fresh artist and that we look forward to do that next year or two years time if only you can wait till that!

The reason is just simple he does not know you and for all you know you may be invading his privacy at that time so he is left with no obtion than to speak rudely to you uhh? So now what do you do?How do you go about it so that he does not get the notion that you re making the usual SOS call for help?This how yopu go about it:

Write the name of the artist that producer has produced down plus the number of the producer if available.Do not call him too early in the morning nor too late at night.Now this is how you can go about with your quest.Greet him or and ask if you are speaking to the producer who produced so so and so artist if he replies yes mention your name and then tell him or her you called to express your delight about the good work he has done by producing that artist and that to you he has done well.Listen to his reply and do not forget to reciprocate any of his words you think deserves so.End your call by telling him or her that you will call some other time and thank him.If you are wise enough you will realise i am trying to help you understand the importance of building a good and solid relationship before anything else especially if you know you do not know the one you are seeking help from.

Call him or her in about two weeks later and it should not be more than that.Now if he was sooo good enough to store our phone number then you have less work to do in the second step but if he did or did not here is how to go about it:Make sure you are as polite as possble and if you are alien to the use of 'please' then do so at this very time.Now on your second call greet him and mention your name and tell him you are the one who called two weeks ago and recommended him for the good work he has done and that you called to say hello and to know how he or she is faring.End your call by carefully observing his tone thus his choice of words at this time you should be able to tell if you are embarking on a lost journey or you are on track.For instance was he polite?did he feel you are an intruder or not? were you the one who ended the call or he was quick to end the call?Take note of all these tips as it will aid you in your next line of action.

Call him or her for at least three months running and each time you call greet and quickly mention your name followed you call last week or last two weeks etc.Mind you he receives several hundreds of calls per day and as sush he is likely not  remember you if you keep your call too long to come.Call him at least once a week or two weeks always mentioning your name and making reference to your earlier calls.Do so until you finally realised that now he could identify you by your name any time you call him or her.Do not stop there continue until you realised that he or she feels you are part of those he knows.

At this venture you can prolong your call time by asking him if he has any advice he would like to share with YOU up and coming musicians? At this point he or she will know you are probably a musician.Cement your relationship with or her and be %100 convinced you won his attention and trust! Be sure he now sees you as his son or daughter or even friend.Yes be very sure of that.Now after you have done all these stuff cocntact me for the next line of action!
